Solution Description
Springdel offers smart devices management platform for corporations or government bodies to manage smart interactive devices such as mobile phones, tablets, POS, barcode scanners, smart watches etc.
Nowadays more and more corporations deploy smart devices to frontline operations, e.g. handheld scanners of courier crew. In case of the public sector, mobiles phones of police officers or barcode scanners/handheld devices of postman. These mobile devices are important operation tools and valuable assets. They are scattered all around. They need proper management to assure they are well taken care of and are not mis-used. Hence a proper and efficient management tool is needed to take care of these devices.
Springdel is providing a low-cost, easy-to-use and extremely effective platform to manage these smart devices. Unlike conventional MDM (Mobile Device Management) providers, Springdel is the only Modern EdgeOps platform that has a big data architecture. Our platform is cloud-native. It doesn’t require any VMWare server and can connect with thousands of devices at the frontline real-time.

While use case can be many, we take post office and logistics department for example – to help the departments to manage smart devices deployed to postman as well as barcode scanners scattered at different post offices/government's warehouses. We estimate there are several thousands of smart devices deployed.

All in one platform; managed via one single panel
- It will be one platform able to manage different smart devices (e.g. mobile phones & smart scanners). Other MDM legacy probably needs separate systems to manage mobile phones of different OS. They probably have problems to link up AOSP non-GMS devices such as smart scanners. In our case, all devices can be managed in one single platform and can much improve efficiency in management.
Open possibility to adopt latest logistics management technology
- Since Springdel’s platform can seamlessly work with AOSP non-GMS devices, post offices or logistics departments can be more mind-free to consider latest logistics gadgets such as tablets AR/VR glasses, wearables or smart lock for different logistics application scenarios. A post office can roll out tablets/vending machines to increase efficiency of over-the-counter service. All these new devices can be accommodated into the Springdel’s management platform.

- Springdel’s platform is AI-ready. With devices managed real-time in a single platform, valuable big data such as time spent on each routing, slow traffic pattern etc are off the shelf. Such data can be generated into operation insights, such as re-arrange routing to avoid traffic congestion, re-allocate manpower to balance workload etc can be done accordingly.

- There would be significant operating cost saving due overall efficiency improvement. Saving comes from:
