Nowadays, training for workers in the construction industry mainly relies on the traditional methods of teaching such as didactic teaching which is a one-way communication leading to the lack of interactivity for trainees to receive opportunities to practice.

Yet, the training system that applies virtual reality (VR) technology could give users an immersive experience and a deeper understanding of construction/operation procedures and potential hazards. Also, utilizing the Building Information Modeling (BIM), a simulated site environment would be visualized in VR where the trainee could have the VR training in the simulated routine environment. It enhances the familiarity of the site and project for the workers to have the virtual rehearsal before starting their work.

Moreover, through accident imitation in VR, users can experience accidents vividly, thereby enhancing site safety awareness and reducing the occurrence of industrial accidents.

On the other hand, for training record and performance analysis, the backend system we have designed replace the reliance on paperwork and manpower efforts. Real-time quantitative training records and data analysis are provided to trainers.
